Château de Vullierens
Château de Vullierens has been in the same family for 700 years. To begin with, Pierre de Duin built a medieval fortress in 1308. The present structure has been in existence since1715. Visitors can admire over 600 varieties of irises and daylilies in the gardens as well as 70 modern sculptures spread through the estate.

I had to wait a few monthes untill I could try out my Pentax K 28/3.5.The results confirmed what I had seen in custom testing at home, other user's tests and the street rumours. It is a very good lens.
If it had higher microcontrast it would match 28/2.8 C/Y Distagon MM.Anyways I regard this lens as one of the three best regular 28mm lenses of it's times. To me, Distagon 28/2.8 C/Y is the first, followed by Nikkor 28/2.8 AIS.This Pentax gets the 3rd,honorable position.
Other comparable 28mm lenses are not far away but they are lacking something here or there, compared to that holy trinity.
Early morning throuhg the old town, with the Sun rising up,before the temperature exceeds +30 deg Celsius and the crowd will populate the streets....
A72+Pentax K 28/3.5
Pentax M lenses could be very zeissy stopped down 2-3 f stops. What makes a difference is notably lower level of microcontrast vs C/Y counterparts.Their small size and compactness can balance that out to some extent thoug
Peire -- I especially want to thank you and express my admiration for your contributions. Your artistic-documentary style with the towns, countryside and gardens is so immersive. I always enjoy your careful notes on all the Alt and vintage lenses and their results -- really gives a good real world rendering comparison.

Here are a few more of my beginning shots with the Canon 70-200/4L at f/5.6, to get an idea of its character and sharpness. Seems to be as much or more than can be expected from a used light weight zoom in the mid $300 range.

Thank you very much Jim.Having many vintage lenses and enjoing them really,I would like to share my experience with all those mates, who are alike.
Concerning the 70-200/4 - I used to have one L IS Canon and was allways impressed with it's IQ on Canon DSLRs.I'm pondering on buying another one for my A7 series cameras.Your pictures confirm that 70-200/4 lenses of today are valuable options.Thank you for sharing.

Have you tried Leica Elmarit-R 28mm f/2.8 v2? I haven't tried mentioned Nikkor, but I would place Leica between Pentax and Contax (well everyone has their own criteria, which is better etc.).
For price I was disappointment to Leica as I find both Contax 2.8/28 (G and C/Y) better than Leica. It's possible that pixel peeping persons rank Leica higher than I do.

I had not tried Leica R 28/2.8,just because it is now priced like a jewel.I'm curious about your experience.
I got Contax G 28/2.8 but don't use it on FF cameras, because of lack of the reguired correcting filters/modified A7 series bodies.Contax C/Y 28/2.8 still shines, though it is not flaweless of course.
