I was winding down for the day, looked out my office window and saw that NYC was completely fogged in, so I headed over to Brooklyn Bridge Park to take a few photos.
A7ii + Zeiss Contax C/Y 180mm f/2.8 MMJ, and C/Y 28mm f/2.8 MMJ. The 180mm is astoundingly sharp, even wide open.
252 South Street ultra high-rise. 180mm @f/2.8
Under the Manhattan Bridge. 180mm @f/2.8
Classic view of the Brooklyn Bridge, Jane's Carousel and Lower Manhattan. 28mm @f/5.6
Here is a shot of the 7 doors on the front entry of the Menger Hotel that I shot for an architecture client who worked on the hotel renovation. I haven't delivered the image series yet. I'll see if they want me to remove that parking sign. It would be a huge pain to remove cleanly.
So I'm going to try something new here. My normal editing style for landscapes/cityscapes is typically vibrant but controlled colors with clean compositions. On this image, I experimented with the faded look and a more toned down color palette. Would love to hear feedback good or bad.

Alfredo, you need to let the conditions of a particular image dictate your editing style and do not apply just a single style across the board. IMHO, that image that shows a low setting sun would benefit more your previous editing style....

Got a morning this week to shoot while I was away in Toronto. The first is pre-sunrise, and the second is roughly half an hour later. What a difference in the light.
A few of my first test shots with the new-to-me lens, bought here from Mattieu in NC. Great lens and Mattieu is great to buy from!
I had been wanting a light and small-ish tele-zoom and this Canon 70-200/4L fit the bill nicely. IBIS works well to tame the jigglies at the longer lengths hand-held.

With the setting sun and backlit foliage, I think brighter, more saturated color would be a natural in this case. Nice composition!
