Nice images Tjack, it would be nice to know what lenses were used.
Thank-you. Those three shot above were all done with a Mamiya Sekor Z 110mm F2.8 lens, two were wide open and the black and white shot was stepped down about half way.
I think this image has enough problems that I wouldn't have confidence to print it at any size larger than 16" wide, but on the web it looks good enough.
This is a stitched panoramic, shot handheld, of mount Baldy (San Antonio) in the Angeles national forest. The sun was setting and the "f(l)at bottom" clouds were whistling by.
A7->LA-EA4->Sony 500mm f/8 reflex
ISO 800, 1/750th and...well...f/8!
Lots of walks in National Parks in southern Australia recently. We have had an unusual run of public holidays, making it an excellent April.
These are from the 24-70FE, 35-70 Contax and the Minolta Rokker 50mm.
First, welcome to all. I read this thread since its start by Philip and his great photographies of nature. I enjoyed it and I bought a A7r. Fantastic machine (I come from days of argentic, never hoped this marvel.
And as you see, I apologize for my extremely bad English. I have forgotten it with my young years, and I hope you will understand a few words from me ! But pictures are more the way, here. I begin.
Sacha
Edit : all photos are from A7r except the grid of the tree and perhaps two or three others (A7 I had during two weeks before changing for A7r because big issues about flare on night shots. I take many night and astronomy pictures and it was just impossible to manage).
I took the native FE 35/2,8 from Zeiss as unique lens.
But I will buy later a long optic for constellation shots.
