Please don't completely stray off this thread, Helena! I really miss your input when you are off for periods collecting new images. I like that you are mastering a different approach and presenting interpretations we don't often see.
As you mentioned, it is a matter of personal appeal, and it's great to have so many points of view from the purely literal, to the interpretive, all the way to uber-PP.
Just keep following your Muse and showing us the results. The "likes" you receive are guarantee that you are having an impact and people appreciate your work.

Thank you for the feedback. I guess this is about personal taste, which is fine of course! I love the style/effect, but hate post processing (besides, you can't really get the same effect in post processing - it'll be "too perfect"), so for me this lens is great. I have found some groups for this type of photography, so maybe I'll post over there in future. Anyway, I have gotten a little tired of "straight" photography and feel a need to experiment.
Actually took out the rig for a walk last night. Trying not to shoot while I'm working on all our Kauai pics. But I had an itch that needed scratching...
Helena...I personally love ALL your styles. From sharp to dreamy! And I totally understand about the "straight" photography....

I do agree with you and I do like what you are doing here. The dreamy look is so refreshing but it works better with a vintage or any "old world" scene (your 1st image is perfect) and not with a modern-day scene. It takes you back to the good old days - very nostalgic.

Thank you very much (especially) Jim, Gregg, Bobbytan and Derek, and everyone else for the Likes! Your encouragement means a lot. OK, I'll keep posting here , but I'll try that other group too, just for fun. Too bad it's Facebook, but it seems like that's where everything online happens these days... Sometimes it feels like the whole internet is getting sucked into Facebook, like it's a black hole.

"Like old times" with the Russian Monocle/Monolens. It was one of my first times out with it and I should have used a smaller aperture with some of them, for more clarity. Oh well, it's all part of the learning process.

I think I expressed some doubts about the Lensbaby shots initially Helena but then, as you know, grew to like them along with the Monocle/Monolens images. As Jim says, this place would be a lot poorer if we were all producing the same types of material. It will be interesting for you to show us what techniques you learn from the other group, even if it is on Facebook
