You seem to have changed your processing style for B&Ws Rene. Recently your shots have had much higher contrast and are much 'crunchier' . Whilst I like both styles, and your shots are still gorgeous, I edge towards the former, gentler, processing. Just a personal preference of course ! However I'd be interested to know why you changed ?

thank you for your kind comnent my friend it has some reasons. I bought a new computer. LR re-installed. thus other screen. and the LR presets changed. am still looking for my ideal. further complicating matters is the diversity of my lenses. almost every has its character. and needed adjustment at the time of processing. am of your opinion. and not very satisfied. Will work on that

Wildlife image with a long lens at wide open aperture? Nope, the only correct condition it was indeed taken at wide open aperture but it was taken with the FE 50mm f/1.4 at a fairly close distance and the file was then cropped to size. And it was at a local Renaissance Faire as a part of their bird performance show. I don't use this lens that often and but I have always been impressed with its performance. Since I expected abundant light, I turned off the EFCS in anticipation of getting a more "normal" OOF bokeh rendition.
