That's good to hear! It turned out to be too late to return/replace the lens, so I'll keep it for now. I think you're right that it shouldn't be used for "general walk-around" like I have done so far, but instead when one has specific/suitable subjects in mind. Also, my partner suggested that it's probably important to have something interesting in the point of focus, something that is strong enough in itself to not let the eye wander away looking for more. After have looked at some other people's Sweet 50 photos that I like I think he's right.
i hope nobody minds me posting these (non Sony pics - I apologise in advance if anyone does) at least they'll soon get lost amongst the next 2,000 pages !
Typical (for me) Lensbaby pics. Two of my niece and one of my daughter's sandals, from 2010
A few shots from earlier today, all taken with Leica APO Summicron 75. First one at 5.6, while the rest are wide open. I really enjoy this lens, the tonality is so nice.

I spent the last 3 days at Bosque del Apache, a well-known birding destination in New Mexico. The weather is not cooperating this time around. We missed the fiery sunset or sunrise and the cloud cover was too thick for the moon to be visible at both moonset and moonrise. It is raining now, too and we have to cancel the last outing and just drive straight to the airport in a few hours. Oh, well.
I just went through several pages of wonderful images of this thread and I am impressed and not only but the quality but also by the variety of the images. Kudos to everyone!
