Thank you very much Bob, Picture This!, Ronny and Joshua! The more we think about the place, the more it feels like ours already. I'm even dreaming of photos I could take there , such as nice night photos - light pollution should be minimal... Not good since it means we'll be really disappointed if we can't buy it. Forgot to say that the cabin is located in Sweden, just across the border from Trondheim. Prices are lower there than in Norway and also, since we're both Swedish we feel it'd be nice to own something there.
Finally picked up the Zeiss 35/1.4 Distagon ZM this weekend. I ordered it a month ago, from a second hand shop in London, but this was the first chance i had to get it. It was well worth the wait. I have always been impressed by the resolution from the files taken with my Loxia 21, but the 35/1.4 is just as good, if not better. Here is a shot from the balcony in London, looking over the financial district.
Hmm, I'm not completely happy with the CV 21/1.8 VM so far. Surprising since I'm so pleased with my other three Voigtlanders and the 21mm has such good reviews. There is something with the rendering that bothers me a little. Oh well, I'll give it a few more weeks. If it doesn't work out I guess I'll have to consider the Loxia 21 after all, but I wish there were a decent and affordable M mount option so that it could share the VM-E adapter with my other lenses.
I haven't contributed here for a while, but I thought I should 'fess up to a new lens acquisition, led astray by the folks who contributed to the recent ZM 1.4/35 thread. I bought an ex-demo copy from LeicaShop, which took a while to get to NZ, but the wait was well worthwhile...

Hi Helena,
I also ran a Voigtlander 21mm for a while and came to the same conclusion - functional but without anything that makes it exceptional. It only took me one or two images with the Loxia to realise that it was in a different league. I've no regrets.
