Only recently found out about the SR app from the dedicated thread in this forum. Was delighted to learn it even works on my original a7. Not sure I'll be leaving the ND filters home intentionally from now on, but it's pretty cool to experiment with the app, and ofc to have in a pinch.
Two examples. First one, I really like what it did to the water. It was really windy and with nothing but sand/sandy grass available, no tripod would have worked well here. It's not very sharp, but it's just a bourgeois concept anyways, right?
Second one went as expected. Definately a different look from what a ND filter would have given me. I'm sure the maximum number exposures would have made the motion smoother (this is just the default 64), but for this shot I couldn't be bothered. And for me the results are just "different", not necessarily better or worse.

Thank you, Butch! I enjoy your images from Cuba. Keep'm coming, please.
Back to Costa Rica - It started pouring hard while we were at this location when I was only checking this place out. And I only had my lightweight gear and I could not get and setup my main gear. Amazingly, instead taking shelters, a few hummingbirds were enjoying the rain and they were "bathing" in the rain. Those are some big raindrops, too but the rain didn't face this little guy that was perching on the swaying fern frond. I have never seen nor heard of something like this. before. I really enjoyed the experience and yes, I took a short video clip, too.
Sony A7r II with Sony FE 70-300mm at 300mm, ISO 800, f/5.6, 1/125 sec.
