Great shots everyone. Joshua, how was is the AF of the big Canon tele on the A7RII?
Douglas, it was mediocre at best. Luckily, as anticipated, we are dealing with quite a bit of stationary objects. The hummingbirds were flying or rather hovering and the best shots of hummingbirds were prefocused. Their behavior was fairly easy to predict after some observation. They go for the most colorful and tallest flower stalk. Plus, they have favorite spots to perch. They come back to those spots repeatedly to rest their wings. Since they are so many of them in CR, it was not that hard to get perfectly focused images of them among a bunch of OOF images .

When I head downtown for music, I like to wander around a bit before the show. Especially this time of year, shows starting at 8-10 PM, around golden hour, sunset, and blue hour. Maybe I should call this Purple Rain?

Wow guys/gals - thanks for all the likes on the above image - I believe that's the first time I've gotten over 30 likes on any of my images in any of the FM forums!
More images from this trip coming this weekend as I slowly get through the 2,000+ images I took.
Thank you for your "likes" on the previous images, everyone!
Here are 2 images of an adult, male "Jesus Christ" lizard that spotted a prey higher up on the trunk and came back down fast with its prey. Everything took place so fast, I couldn't capture everything . Oh, well. BTW, the unique name of this lizard is attributed to its ability to walk, more run actually, on water if it feels threatened and this is its method of survival. The skin shedding process was almost complete but not quite.
