Photo taken at 7:44 PM on June 7, 2015 of a Doe White Tail Deer with its tongue flicked out, Big Meadows, Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. Image heavily cropped and taken with my tripod mounted Leica R 280mm f4 Apo Telyt lens with my Leica R 1.4X Apo Extender and my A7r; ISO 400, lens set to effective aperture of f8 at 1/160 second. Exposure corrected by -0.24 Stops and processed in LR6.
Two more images from the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest I used my Canon 11-24mm for the first image. The sun was visible in its entirety, generating that sunstar in the second image. I do have 2 other similar images where only a part of the sun was visible and the sunstar looks better, more clearly defined and close to that generated by Loxia 21mm. But the size of the sunstar is smaller, making the total image less dramatic.
Thank you, Manu! The movement was attributed to the SM app of, I believe, 32 shutter actuations and it was done deliberately with that in mind. Sorry, I forgot to mention that in the post.

Very nice Ronny. How are you finding the Loxia compared to the Distagon?
Thanks
Too early to say .. had Loxia 21 for a couple of days .. first day I tested decentering..I think I'll get fine copy
And this testround that I've done ... I just love the size and also the weight that is less than the Zeiss 21 with adapter
Loxia 21 does have some field curvature which I'm not used to on Zeiss 21 and I must understand it better
had some difficulty with that, certainly it is a fine lens when you test and learned more how this lens works ..I have great expectations for this lens
