A little bit of a cultural touch from Monument Valley - The first image depicts a hogan, a traditional dwelling of the Navajo people. Although it looks fairly small from the outside but the inside is surprisingly roomy. Hogans are pioneers of energy efficient homes. In the summer, it insulates well against heat and it keeps warmth inside in the winter. One of the hogans was used to display the handicraft of the Navajo people as shown in the second image.
Couple from today--just some quick grabs with the FE 35/2.8 hand held. Light was a bit harsh, but the views were pretty. Quick lightroom edits only on my laptop....from Whiteside Mountain, NC:
A quick test shot with comparing M 50 Cron IV and Loxia 50 @ f/8.0. The sun was in and out between the clouds, but it does give some idea of the difference in rendering between the two. The center of the M Cron IV @ f/8 looks sharper to me than the Loxia 50. The Loxia 50 has more micro contrast and is cooler in WB, but I have to do some more tests.
Just messing around tonight--pretty clear skies so I tried shooting the moon. I had better luck years ago when I had a 500/4 with a 1.4 and 2x extender on a Canon 20D! This time, I used the Sony A7r2 but I only have a 280/4 (Leica R apo) lens but then I stacked the 1.4x and 2x (Leica Apo) extenders and this is what I got (heavy crop):

Breakfast with the 85 at 1.6
Always tweaking the B&W conversion (this in LR) any comments on what could be done better or different, this time minimal added contrast etc to get a soft look. Color version also a bit desaturated. Actually instead of playing with specific Colors, sometimes to me a slight desaturation makes to colours look better to me (on my screen). just -8 or so. Or perhaps it's just me preferring a less "colorised" version of photos :-)
btw, Sebboh, gotta love the jupiter-9 rendering/bokeh

^ A unique look sebboh - I like it! Your photos too.
thanks, it's a very special look that only works for some subjects, but i'm quite fond of it. i just put the lens in a new body to make focusing smoother and easier so i'm getting reacquainted with it.
here's a few 40 cron family shots at f/2, f/4, and probably f/11:
So good to congratulate the super 'togs on this thread! This time, Ronny and René!
