Photo taken at 7:45 AM on August 14, 2015 of a 10 point Buck White Tail Deer in velvet, Big Meadows, Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. Image cropped and taken with my tripod mounted Canon new FD 500mm f4.5 L lens and my A7r, ISO 200, lens set to f4.5 for 1/800 second. Exposure corrected by +0.12 Stops and processed in LR6.
More candids with the Batis 85. This is the work I like best, observing my subjects deep in thought or in the midst of an what they think is an unobserved action that gives a glimpse of who they really are. The Batis is lightweight, fits the A7RII nicely and is perfect for my needs.
My sister got married over a family vacation to Hawaii. She told me she had a photographer, so I didn't have to worry. Then I found out that we had them for an hour. So, I brought a bit of my portrait gear that I would have left home. But, here is my favorite lens, the Minolta 100/2. All of these are SOOC, converted from RAW in LR6.
While not stunning images images, I chose these for examples of color, bokeh, and overall rendering.

Thanks Joshua, for me a very nice memory of that funny evening
Some more about "acqua alta" in Venice... always with Zony 16-35 stopped down (f/8 to f/16)

Bob, have you corrected (for distorsion) last two pics from CV 15mm? Seem to me perfect
Manuel
The sunstar shot has a lens profile applied but the boat picture does not. The adjustment on the sunstar image was minimal and mostly corrected for vignetting.

beautiful shots charlie! it looks the white balance is leaning a bit blue/green on the landscapes though, or was that just the light?
Hi Derek, TY for the mention of WB
I switched from v1 to v2 kolari (did not like v3), and while I am much closer than I started with on v1, I'm still a bit off. If you get a chance, compare my shots in the Leica thread with M9 and see if you see that same blue/green thing.
@wfrank the shot of the jeep was a quick snap with I'm not sure which lens
@ Charles my reading from Puts was the ASPH lux is fantastic, and generally the better lens (M bodies), but that the v4 cron will beat it closeup, which really surprised me, and as a result I often shot the 50 cron close, in addition to my landscape work. Once you get out to 4 meters + I think the Lux will beat it easily. Of course we know about the mid-zone dips which the Sony hates. The old A7r also loved my 50 cron.

Excellent images from the aqua alta, Manuel! Here is mine when we asked one of the girls to pose for us. I noticed a few raindrops on my lens ... oh, well .
