testing out my newly converted g90 to make sure i have infinity set correctly and everything is properly centered with some shots around town. first 2 wide open, second 2 stopped down:

I had a second Loxia arrive today, a 35 to replace my Ultron 35mm, which the Australian importer agreed was de-centered - as they couldn't replace it, I used the credit towards a Loxia Biogon, and from a visit to my usual test haunts this afternoon, where I shot across a range of distances and apertures, I'm impressed with its performance as a walk-about lens. Thanks for the encouragement, Rene - John
Wow John - the rendering style on last image is so similar to SLR Planar 50 with proper sensor cover glass (e.g. Canon 5DmkII) closed down 2 stops on close ups; just the way how I like close-up photos to look like. Example with Canon 5DmkII: 1 (f/2.8), 2 (f/2.8), 3 (f/4) and 4 (f/2.8). Somehow with Sony's sensor these lenses (specially ZE-series version) have not reached same potential - so hopes are really high that the same rendering style, or better, can be achieved with Kolari-modified cameras. Typically people worry field curvature @ infinity, but what bothers me is that the thick sensor cover glass seems to mess the boke. I checked some old photos and I can't figure out way how I could get ZE-series 50 to draw like this with standard thick sensor cover glass: 5 (f/2.8) or 6 (f/4). Boke quality gets so much worse with Sony sensor.
What comes to Loxia 35, I most likely skip it, even it seems to be really nice lens - the automatical EXIF recording would be really tempting, but I try really hard to not buy it... I just got it's "older sister" Carl Zeiss Biogon T* 2/35 ZM, wonderful lens mechanically - shoot here with f/4 @ A7r (standard thick cover glass) - horrible lens with thick cover glass, but should be pretty nice with 0.8mm cover glass:

@Congratulations John. A lot of joy with the Loxia. It is really great. (the 50mm is by the way also very good.)
Thank you to all of you for all of your wonderful pictures. It is a pleasure to look at them. Bravo

Thanks Samuli and Rene for the feedback - I'm pretty stoked with it, and it seems like it will be good compensation for the loss of my Ultron 35mm, which I liked very much - apart from its soft right margin!
Your 50mm shots look very promising, Helena - I'll look forward to seeing what you shoot with it once your weather picks up.
