Perhaps you could come down to NZ with just a small selection from your lens collection and we could do some 'both-and' field testing in our landscapes - no boring inside setups...
Maybe I just take 15 different normal lenses I have not yet been in New Zealand and I have lots of holiday's I have not used. And this year seems to be again one more year, when there just is no way I could take all my holiday in summer. Maybe next winter it's time to "cash out" and spend January 2017 in NZ Seriously talking, would you recommend January or February for NZ?
Here in Finland you clime to hill (we don't have mountains), and if you are lucky there is rocky cliff side in the hill (=big trees can't grow and block your view) and you maybe see something else than trees ==> you see treetops and if the hill is really high you might see something else as well, a lake or a swamp, or different looking forest. View from one of those high hills (with an antenna if you look carefully ) - Carl Zeiss S-Planar T* 2.8/60 CY @ f/5.6, 1/3200s, ILCE-7R @ ISO 400:
I make it slightly harder for myself as I prefer my photos without human influence = no people, no houses, no roads, no unnatural fields (the ones made for agriculture), no unnatural forest and last but not least; no antennas...
Well, after doing all the usual gyrations about the new Loxia 21 and why I need (and why I don't). I decided to put my name on the waiting list at my local store. So, I called and told the sales person that I'm interested in the Loxia 21. He said, 'I just happen to be holding one in my hands.' I thought for sure he was kidding. To make a long story short, it's now in my hands.
Some first quick images I took on the way home . . .
Nice Bob!
My buddy just got back from Japan last week( same guy who let me borrow his car) and picked up a Loxia 21 while he was there. I'll have to borrow it soon

I too took possession of a Loxia 21 today, though unfortunately it's not mine. I've got it for the next week so I can review it. I thought about getting one for myself, but the versatility of the FE 16-35 is more important for my shooting, and I can't afford both. If I were going for a WA prime, though, I can already tell the Loxia 21 would be what I'd be going for. What a beautiful little lens.
Finally some snow in central Ohio....

Here's a couple of recent NZ hills I've climbed, Samuli, just to lay on the incentives - and an aerial or two for good measure, in case you want to test lens resolution - February would be magnificent! John

Congratulations! Wow for the first pictures!! After a little while, I'd be interested on your take of the 21 vs. the 16-35 FE.
This coffee was so weak, I took a photo as a cautionary reminder to not drink it again. The shot does however demonstrate the excellent close focus, low light capability of the Tamron SP 35 f/1.8 on the A7RII. f/16 with ISO 6400.
Yesterday started out grey so I thought it would be a good opportunity to compare my CV 50mm/1.5 VM and C/Y 50mm/1.7 in dull light. However, before long the sun came out and it turned into a beautiful day, but I did snap some shots with both lenses anyway.
I don't want to clutter the thread with test images, but based on PMs and a couple of posts in the thread it seems like there are people who would be interested in seeing some. So, what I have done is post the C/Y photos here, then when there is CV version I have put a link to it.
Post processing is identical except that I have adjusted the WB to make them more similar. The C/Y renders much warmer and also has a slight greenish cast while the CV is somewhat cool with a hint of magenta. The light was more or less identical.
7. Two unprocessed shots to show the WB difference.
