This thread continues to inspire! Great GC shots Fred but where's the snow? Must of melted from the storm earlier this month.
The snow was almost gone and the temperature varied from 23 to 50 degrees during the 2 days I was there. I got pretty much bald skies except for the time of these pictures.
Best,
Fred

What a nice shot Michael!! What focal length and aperture was this one? Love the colors...
Thanks, Gary, f13 at 16mm. I think I need spend some quality time to optimize my shooting with this lens and camera. I was in a hurry to go there without refresh my memory about setting the camera. Once the light get dark, the camera fail to lock focusing I miss a lot of shots and I am lost in the manual try to figure out how to set the damn thing manual only in the mean time watch it trying to focus itself in LV by itself (why?) under glorious light, really sucks, not just A7R but me.
Everything figure out nicely now. I will retest 16-35 lens again and I wish I can be back there again
My preferred setting is set LCD effect off(didn't), manual focus(didn't) and use AEL button for AF/MF toggle(or maybe hold to trigger AF, again didn't) so that I can focus at WO and choose the hyper focal focusing point myself either manual or AF depend on time pressure. General speaking, I hate Sony manual system, but if I force myself remember all the customer setting, (key word: REMEMBER) It is great in field for landscape.
Still I got some good ones, just need time to process them.
It save my big money to invest 5Ds or D810 for occasion resolution need. Will see how it goes.
Great to see you in here zhangyue (Michael?). I always admire your work.
dbehrens' and Fred Miranda's photos never fail to impress either.
And so many others, I wish I could list you all.
First of all, many thanks for all "Like" received on my last posts
Honestly, after the last few pages, I was undecided on whether or not to post today my pics that seem inadequate to the Stellar Level of this thread.
However, pictures taken in 2014... last one is a vertical version of the previous posted here https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1255248/371#12437454

Here are a few images of the wedding procession from the church to the reception, which is about two miles or so. But do you see the cobble stones? It was not like a walk in the park . More than a few times, the ladies in high heels chose the side walk. Unlike a few we saw at the church's square, this is a real procession after the ceremony.
This is the wedding of Victor and Emily we attended in San Miguel Allende in October and what a celebration it was!
