To me, the Batis 85 beats the 85L hands down.
Amazing shots everyone!
Gary, love the snow scape shot !!
John awesome landscape capture!
Bobby, the Batis 85 will be my main lens, but I needed a replacement for my 75 Lux and the 85L II is better in some ways with AF It is very hard to see the detail that the Batis 85 resolves on the web, but it is amazing, but it is gentle too. Also the colors and how it renders the tonality is another big plus for me.

I just went the other way around. Sold my 85 to get the 75 and dont regret it. The lux has some of the magical rendering ever and i am unable to convince myself to sell it now
My wife Marisa this afternoon visited a Brazilian hairdresser, and asked for a quick few shots for her hairdresser's site.
With the Batis 85 f/1.8 and A7rII is possible just to hold the A7rII in one hand, with eyeAF, AF-C, face recognition on and the ICE light in the other hand. The shots are virtually straight from the camera with virtually no PP'ing. I'm really enjoying this lens
Photo taken at 3:22 PM, October 17, 2015 along Skyline Drive opposite Naked Creek Overlook, Shenandoah NP, Virginia. Image taken with my tripod mounted A7r and my Leica M 90mm f2.5 Summarit lens, ISO 200, lens set to f8 for 1/125 second. Processed in LR6.
Very nice! BTW how do you like the ICE light? We printed Jerry Ghionis' DARLING book recently. He is an incredible photographer and a very inspiring speaker.

Finally some snow - almost a month later than usual. We'll see how long it last though. The rainbow colors are caused by the sun shining through a thin cloud of tiny ice crystals (which also explains why some of the shots look a bit hazy).
All A7 and CV Nokton 50/1.5.
