kdrk888, no particular question, more of an observation.. I just noticed that you have the Sony 70-200 f4 when you posted on 10/30, looks like geese with sunset reflection. I have a Nikon 70-200 f2.8 that I am using in manual mode with a Novoflex adapter. I still have my Nikon D7200, Sigma 300 f2.8 for birding and nature. It would be nice to have the Sony, but I really don't want to duplicate and it would be hard to sell my Nikon lens.
Brad, they were shot at f/4, ISO 500-1600. For real birding/airshows, I use my Nikon D810, Nikon 80-400mm and the Sigma 150-600mm. I use my Sony A7 and A7II for everything else. For me, it's much easier to play around with the exposure with the EVF, the D810 often gives me either too bright or too dark images in aperture priority mode.
The A7 with a couple of good lenses.
These were shot at a wedding recently. The first two, at the rehearsal dinner, with the FE35/2.8, both are ISO 6400.
The next two at the wedding reception with the Zeiss Planar 50/1.7 at f2 and ISO 2500 and 4000.
I am quite pleased with the performance of these lenses at higher ISO's, and the Zeiss in particular makes me think twice about the FE55, and both about the 35 and 50 Loxia's.
Went to Annapolis this weekend to visit my daughter at the Naval Academy. Went to the game and got a end zone grass ticket and was able to bring in my Sony a7M2, Novoflex adapter and Nikon 70-200 f2.8. Sure would be nice to have AF and know my f-stop, but manual with focus peaking works pretty well.
I just did a post with a link, someone else suggested I do it this way for higher resolution image.
Should I also include a low resolution, or will people click on the link?
Still figuring out the best way to show images.

My similar plan as well... I just posted a shot from the Navy vs USF game saturday shot with my a7M2 because I didn't want to take 2 bodies and my 300 on the plane.
The stitch definitely has a better large-format look to it. The tree stands out better in the RX1 picture but the composition is a bit different so that may be why.

You could always embed into the forum or if you have Buy&Sell + Upload enabled, you can upload a version to FM forum directly (750KB max size, 1000-1400 pix wide or so is fine).
I checked the link and wow, talk about some great seats! Great shots also, very well done especially for a MF combo!
This is my first share post in this thread, or anywhere outside of the FS section for that matter... but I've been a lurker for a while and figured I should probably get some posts under my belt so sellers don't think I'm a spam bot
