Images Redux -- getting rid of the blahs.
Two of the images I posted earlier were too dark, dull and blah.
Here are I believe more interesting versions.
Both with A7 and FE 35/2.8.
Couldnt agree more. Dont understand how he does that over and over again :-)
And thanks for all likes.
And yet again, 2 pages later so many excellent images are posted. Hard to pick among all but just to mention one I live the digging machine with ZM35/1.4. Very few lenses are capable of separation on that distance - love it abhijeeth (!)
Thank you! Indeed, the ZM 35 1.4 shines at far distances ! It is very good at all distances, but at medium/far distances it gets really special. I like the lens a lot and it hasn't come off the camera since May pretty much (!).
As I mentioned in some of my older posts, this lens rendering style looks to be like the 35mm version of 100MP (minus the macro and with lesser CA).
I recognize the car photo you posted - several beautiful shots of that car that you had posted before (with the CY 35 1.4 ?) and it is nice to see another lovely shot of it again :-)

I can see why, a lens I will have to try one day!
Thanks, you should try it out if/when possible! I fell in love with the initial samples posted online and I rented one for a week. Many happy frames later, the next thing I know I bought a new copy
Another mid-distance shot from the same camera-lens combo from the Columbia River, Oregon. This road curves down and slopes and I left it like that and didn't correct it.The background is "easy" in this case.
Love this shot and hope to see more from this series and from this lens! You posted quite a few good shots earlier in the 35mm lens thread for this one.

Interesting that you feel ZM 35 f:1.4 is special at medium/far distances. I feel it is special also at close/very close distances. I use it with a helicoid adapter, and love the results closeup, including wide open. That is where it is so much better than the Z* 50 Planar f:1.4. Otherwise, at longer distances, that is the lens I'd compare it to....
A couple of examples, wide open

Thank you for reconsidering these.
Sorry Michael but to my eyes first versions are much much natural... maybe only a bit flat
Manuel
Edit: a middle way of two versions with a mask on the sky for "The Runner" pic?
This is an image taken last evening about 9 minutes after sunset near the top of the Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, PA. with my tripod mounted "new" Canon new FD 500mm f4.5 L lens and my Sony A7r, ISO 100, lens set to f11 for 1/30 second and processed in LR6.
