Looks great! I didn't really experiment much with apertures, I shoot mostly between 1.4 and 2.0 but I've heard at 2.2 the lens considerately sharpens up..

Don't know what other systems you are using @GoroMajima From my experience, the closest lens to rendering and focal length would be the Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L lens. Although that extra 8mm does give the Nikon a slight edge in my experience.

Can you guys recommend lenses with similiar smooth rendering from other lens makers? Not looking to switch tho.
Sigma 45mm shoot at close range is the only one in modern remind me 58G. Other than that, I cant think of any.
Older fast 85mm will have similar look but most of them are manual. I think Sony 85GM is pretty good as well but none of them have the extreme look of 58G.
The older Nikon AF 85 F1.4D is a good lens and solidly built....
The first image was shot with a Nikon D800E / Nikon AF-D 85 F1.4D, the second image was shot with a D850, same lens; the last image was shot with a Nikon F100, Tri-X film, same lens.
Yeah, it's the older Nikon 85 F1.4 lens, but as you can see it still performs well on new DLSR bodies
Went on a walk today and noticed this well cared for Toyota van. The front panel has aged well and all of the weather and road debris resulted in a really lovely robin's egg flecking.
