I got into a big slump lately. I have pics from 3 months ago that I still haven't downloaded I still shoot MF lenses but even that stopped after I sold my Df. Just didn't feel right. Nikon came out with some great lenses while you were gone. I think you're gonna love the 105 1.4E for the kids. Good to see you back!

There is a special quality to the 58G when stopped down to /f5.6 or 8, it has almost a paint like rendering combined with the D810.
I really want to love this lens but had 3 now and all of them were awful, AF all over the place, is it too much to expect any sharpness at all wide open?

I pop in here every few months It's good to hear from you. I've been rocking the same stuff for a while now; 24/1.4, 35/1.8, 58/1.4, and 85/1.4 with a D750. I still have a bunch of MF glass but never use it since selling the DF.
The kids rarely have any interest in being part of pictures anymore, so I longingly look at my gear thinking about the good ole days and let it collect dust
Honestly I have zero interest in the 105/1.4. Anything past 85mm just has too much compression for my style and taste.
