Elijahs images are the first to make me think this lens has something going for it.
At 1/8000 sec, I better have HSS That's why I love my B1.
At full power shooting wide open against the sun, the B1 is one
of very few compact strobes that can pull off something like those images.
And thanks Maybe my processing has something to do with it?
My little guy just had to run out and take a photo of the sunset tonight with his camera. Of course, I had to also run out and take a photo of the moon.

My daughter's 10th birthday party at a friends pool. The background was a mess in every direction, but the 58g just has it's way of taming distractions beautifully.
I’ll confess to being sloppy while running the crowds; in my haste to grab a shot I don’t slow down to focus precisely. Sometimes I’m in AF-S mode – sometimes AF-C. I don’t really like AF-C much so I use it only in situations where I have to because the subject is moving. The 58 really needs me to slow down and focus carefully, and I’m not showing enough patience. However, I think I’m OK with things being slightly out-of-focus. For me it’s usually that – or missing the shot completely. I just do this for fun, anyway.
The Beaverton Night Market is a modest, international food festival – a fun thing for a summer night. I rarely photograph in dim twilight, though. The light is kinda flat.
