Here are three I took on Saturday behind the baseball fields while my son practiced. The birds were thick in the brush eating the small privet berries. Taken with a Sony A7ii and Canon nFD 300/4 L plus 1.4x extender. All handheld.
Photocross posted in the Sony FE Image Thead and taken at 6:58 PM on August 12, 2015 of a Fawn White Tail Deer, Big Meadows, Shenandoah National Park, Virginia. Image cropped and taken with my tripod mounted Canon new FD 500mm f4.5 L lens and my A7r, ISO 200, lens set to f4.5 for 1/200 second. Exposure corrected by -1.19 Stops. Processed in LR6.
Canon nFD 100/2.0 is a very good lens.Sharp wide open with minimal CA and discernible 3D look.If it had more microcontrast and vivid colours it would have matched some Zeiss primes.
A7R+Canon nFD 100/2.0 wide open, during the grey dull day in the forest, when lighting had a strong greenish cast.
Photo cross posted in the Sony FE Image Thread and taken at 7:34 AM on August 12, 2015, Big Meadows, Shenandoah NP, Virginia. I am not sure what these flowers are but I took this photo while photographing deer. Image taken with my tripod mounted Canon new FD 500mm f4.5 L lens and my A7r, ISO 400, lens set to about f11 for 1/320 second. Exposure corrected by +0.12 Stops and processed in LR6.
I went to the opening of a new 'park' near my town and took some pictures with my A7 + Canon FD lenses, in the end I only used the 200mm 1:2.8 S.S.C. (first 5 pictures) and the 55mm 1:1.2 S.S.C. Aspherical (last 3 shots), all wide open (I think) and all unedited:
There was also a large second hand marked where I found a Praktica MTL3 + MC Pancolar 1,8 / 50 aus Jena DDR in very good state for €15
The marked was already open for many hours before I got there, I can't imagine what good stuff I probably missed, also had to leave an FD body + 28mm 1:2.8 S.C. for €25 because I didn't have enough money on me after that expensive Pancolar..

In anticipation of nicer weather, permitting me to take pictures with my FD lenses, I thought I'd post a picture of them instead: The extent of my problem by scepticswe, on Flickr
