Missed this post earlier, Socrate; congratulations on a well-deserved TOTW, all the more so because there's not a bird to be found! (At least I couldn't find one). As others have commented, the first image is really special. Ethereal feeling, great colors and composition, and I really like the detail and richness of the right-hand area. Not sure about perspective (and I didn't check the exif) but if the tree trunk on the right was really vertical in real life, it might be interesting to see what this would look like when "straightened" (or if it had been shifted).

Thanks for you comments, Greg. Unfortunately there is no way to get any reference in the image to get the image perfectly leveled.
If you look more closely you'll fine a bird. A big one!
