Simon.
Beautiful shot. What lens? Seems very long as the tail feathers a touch soft.
My G6 arrives Monday so I am interested in the WiFi features now that you have shown this image.

Thanks Mark
It was taken in my back garden using a Panny 100-300. Light levels weren't the best, so I pretty much had the lens wide open (f5.6) at the focal length I was at, but still couldn't get a shutter speed above 1/80s at ISO1600. I was also pretty close to the minimum focus distance as well to try and blur out the background as much as possible. The result was a fairly small focal plane that I'm afraid didn't include all of the tail feathers.

Thanks cputeq, you might be the only one regularly checking out this thread.
No worries, and I have to apologize for being to light on contributions (after starting the darn thread myself!)
I've been doing some heavy work on my web site and for now it's been with the E-M1 and Olympus 50-200 and it takes forever to do thorough write-ups, so the poor GX1 has barely been touched.
I did want to give a head's up to any Pany readers coming in here - GX7 now selling for $728 new !! from Samy's through Amazon.com Saw it over on 43rumors.
I promise I'm going to contribute more, though, once I put the finishing touches on my E-M1 Survival guide...I think I'll review the GX1, even though it's an older camera
