This is so good it is almost hard to believe, both in the amount of detail and in the colors. I suppose those are JPEGs, and if lenses are equivalent, then SONY have really outdone themselves and set a new standard. Wow!
And where is all the moiré that is supposed to cause all cameras except very few to have an AA filter?

I would love to know what lenses were used in the A7R Vs 5D III comparison
+1
And in every other comparison also. I'm sure the Sony sensor is great. But without knowing what lenses they used and compared it's impossible to know anything.

It does, the unique look of A7r: "3D" pop in combination of lower shadows noise, better local contrast, sharpness and true colors. This implies bigger print.
Really? Based on the posted samples, I cannot see how the images 'pop'. A capable compact camera.like the RX100 or G1X would have suffice.

Mttran, 2 great examples, received with thanks! I think I see significant moiré in the second one, on the metal sculpture. Am I reading this right?
Philber, I really don't see it from the original:http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2823/10631007253_ef97a154c3_o.jpg

I still see some, but less. In particular in the second segment from the top on the leftmost steel sculpture, and on the top segment of the rightmost one. Or am I mistaken?
