Yup pretty accurate depiction of the Leica M and A7R shutter sounds, already confirmed when I grabbed several Leica owners to shoot next to the A7R at the Sony event last week. A7R doubles as a great percussion instrument, enhancing my shooting enjoyment!

I submitted my preorder the morning of the announcement. I don't know where that puts me in the pecking order on Amazon, but I decided to go with the fuji due to the lack of affordable lens choices. If you put in an order on Amazon days after and would like to take my place in line. I wont charge you a thing, but I do ask that you pre pay. I'm saving for a wedding so an extra $2k cant just hang around. Just let me know if someone here wants to take my spot. If not, I am canceling tonight or tomorrow.
'The EVF/LCD is so much better than the one in Nex-7 in low light. I compared EVFs in side by side with same FL, aperture and ISO and the screen in A7R stayed so much more readable, wayyyyy less color noise.'
'The "mushy" shutter button is nonissue. I forgot about in after 30 shots. Works just fine and if anything it helps me avoid any vibration from shutter button to the camera body.'
'The "36 MP sensor needs higher shutter speeds for sharp pictures" seems to be missing from my camera. I'm getting consistent pixel level sharpness just fine with 1/50 shutter speed with my Makro Planar 50/2.'
It's already clear that those seeing the a7r as a 'digital back' are selling the camera more than a little short, with very good reception to the customisability, EVF quality, focus assistance, etc.

Rich, I never harboured the slightest doubt that all regular SLR and DSLR lenses would work and work (excepting those that fit the D800e) better than every before. It would have been tantamount to market suicide to release such a camera that did not provide this capability. You don't actively promote adapters for C/N/ZA/A unless this is so.
Any longer FL RF lenses that work is a bonus. it now seems. I'll look into the 135mm tele-elmar at some stage, maybe an M at 75/90mm too.

Pre-ordered my A7R from bestbuy… hoping that few people thought of checking them out so hopefully I'll get mine at release. Right now they're saying it should be made available for shipping on Nov 30th.

Anyone else who is getting impatient and can't wait for the delivery of their A7 or A7r camera to arrive?
Rich

Anyone in North America -
Has anyone received a FM lens before receiving an A7R?
Just was informed the 35mm FM lens has arrived, but not the A7R.
Cheers

Henry''s in Canada is shipping cameras, so, no, the FE35 isn't the only thing which arrived.
I was told this week that I'd see my order for the A7r + FE35 by Monday, but no FE55 as yet.
Curious, I'll know more by tomorrow
Thanks for your feedback
Cheers

Bloody hell, if the Sony A7 were 1200 Euro here, I would buy one last week. 1500 Euro isn't as compelling, but I am still thinking about it. If that 800 Euro 35mm FE lens were an f/2, I would have ordered.
