Gordon, I've been viewing all of your fabulous Cuban photos on Flickr - outstanding.
On another subject, my records show that I purchased a 2nd hand CV35 f/1.4 Nokton Classic from you in Dec 2012! It was my first RF lens and started my journey with a Leica M8. Both are now sold but the seeds were sown right then and there!

Thanks mate. Appreciated. Cuba is an awesome place for a camera. Just awesome. And the people are very very cool as well.
I have a print on my wall from that CV 35. It was my first M lens as well (although not firstRF).
Yes, I fully agree on Cuba and its people.
We spent a few days in Havana in February.
A memorable moment was my wife and I being
‘captively’ busked at as we sat on the wall of the
Malecon. I struggled to capture it at MFD!
I shot there with an M9 and Pentax K-1.
Got some shots I like.
The second image has the benefit of a camera profile created with the same lens and lighting conditions. The 105 f/2.4 image uses a Huelight P645D High V56 profile.
I'll get around to profiling the camera with a number of lenses, even if I end up selling the body.

How do you find the 300? I’m keen on trying this lens on the GFX.
I didn't shoot a lot with it yet but what i did on a tripod did look plenty sharp to me. On Pentax forums in the medium format thread on page 739 you can find some handheld shots from 'itshimitis' taken from a boat on a lake. They look terrific.
It is a heavy and big lens so I should hold it on the lens instead of your GFX body.
Here's another example in grey weather unfortunatly.
Gordon, really enjoy your images from Cuba. Looks like you made a good choice about bring X1D than Leica M
David, Michiel, beautiful images and thanks for keep this thread going.
A few with S180APO and S006 from yesterday. Awesome lens, I should have used it more often.

A few in our group had Leicas. SL's and M's mainly. Cuba would be a great place for the S. I just can't get around the long exposure noise reduction in a travel camera. And the piss poor corner performance of the zoom.
