Wow - I hadn't been browsing this thread for some time and lots of excellent images posted (Michael (as usual), Ocean (Silk Road images superb), Ian (rocking portraits), Alexii (the colours that ProBack gives are so outstanding).
I've loving my 645D more and more and I have it with me on a trip back to the UK to visit elderly parents, however I hate the fact that C1 Pro doesn't provide decent camera profiles for P645 digitals, nor even more than one WB setting.
I'm currently forced into using LR, or a trial version of Iridient Developer, or even Pentax's own (SilkyPix) Digital Camera Utility to explore more sane foliage colours from the 645D profiling. Interestingly back in Australia the challenge was more one of getting increased vibrancy into temperate landscapes, whereas here in verdant Ireland the C1 Pro greens are really way off accurate. Come on Phase One, start supporting your cheap competition!
Anyway, rant over, a few from my first couple of days:
Nicely done. I really like the cloud texture in #2.
Have just been up to Scotland but the weather was atrocious so rather than try to shoot farthings hidden in the grey skies I opted for close subjects ... the camera is new to me so I need to get a better feel for how DoF is going to work.
Michael - may you return with more posted images soon. Stunning colours from Bryce Canyon.
P645D, FA 45-85 lens.
This one from today - Ballycastle, Co. Antrim, N. Ireland - I love picking up beach rocks, especially volcanics!
This most probably came across from Scotland (only some 25 mies away) during the last Ice Age. About 1/2 mile from this location the radio pioneer Marconi did some test transmissions across to the nearby Rathlin Island. Link:
