I continue to try and use the X2D II as an events camera to varying degrees of success. I don't particularly love continuous shooting on it, because sometimes it's hard to know how many shots you've taken. There's noticeable shutter lag, and with the leaf shutters, sometimes the shutters aren't so audible. You end up filling up the buffer super quick because you've shot more images than you think you have. Generally speaking, tracking is fine, but nothing to write home about. I do think the AF performance of this camera has been overstated by the YouTube crowd. It's still my favorite camera to shoot with, issues and all.
I assume you’ve bumped down to 14 bit for burst shooting?

Yeah, another thing influencers talk out of both sides of their mouth about. The 16 bit vs 14 bit debate!

Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre in Calgary, Brad Cloepfil was the lead architect. The architecture is very cool, both inside and out. There are many different angles one can find, and different lenses give different results.
The other cool thing is 1/2 block away is the main branch of the Calgary Public Library with more architecture to photograph(The wooden shots further up).

While none of the following is to let Hasselblad off the hook, the fact that you get great images and moments like these captured still sings praises of the tool ( and photographer ). Indeed, most influencers ( 🤮 ) are not photographers trying to deliver with every push of the shutter. On the other hand, in manual focus film days, getting “the shot” in tough settings was much farther from certainty than any camera today. Covers of magazines and some of the most iconic images ever had missed focus or imperfect exposure. We live in a time of plenty.
