I was wondering whether you (or others shooting with the Hasselblad X system) also shoot or used to shoot with one of the recent digital Leica M bodies (and lenses) - and if so, how you'd say the images compare?
To me, the Hasselblad colors usually are a bit more "neutral" (which is exactly what they are going for and known for with their "natural color science" I suppose) - and also the lenses seem to render very "neutral" as well.. probably that's not the right word to describe it (and I'm asking the question as I'm actually having a hard time putting my finger on it, what the difference between the Hassy and Leica looks actually is).
I wouldn't say the Hasselblad rendering is sterile or lifeless or character-less, but it is in a way much more "understated" I feel.

Thank you! The closest I've come to a Leica was aaaalmost pulling the trigger on a Q3 43 a couple months ago, so I'm afraid I can't say how the two brands compare.
Of the many XCD lenses, I only have the 38V so far (hoping to add the 75P soon). It definitely doesn't feel like a character lens to me, but it does deliver incredible detail and pleasing color with useful controls and a compact, sturdy form factor. I guess I feel like it's more about the sensor, and the lens does a great job of getting out of the way and helping me to get the most out of it.

Was working some ungodly hours for 2 weeks while I was in China. Had to work US pacific time zone which meant midnight to about 2PM local time.
