Hi All! Fantastic photo's in this thread so I hope you all keep it going..
Quite happy to have just joined the Oti Club, the EF 85mm mounted on an A7rII - I hope to post some pictures from my first trip with the otus, once my new computer arrives to edit the a7rii RAW's...
Please excuse my ignorance but I have a quick question someone may be able to help with, regarding Otus on Metabones IV adapter - I believe i have the adapter set to 'Advanced Mode' although the Lens is only stopping down to show DOF preview on a half shutter press, it does not show stop down during regular in camera adjustment. Is this possible? Or is what I am experiencing just the normal operation?
one from Qingdao, China.
Havn't got my lens back from Zeiss yet. But went through the images I took with this Lens yesterday. I have to say I really really really love it.
I couldn't resist any longer, and ordered the 55 yesterday. I love the 85 so much that I felt compelled to have its brother too. Looking forward to its arrival on Monday!

You will not be disappointed if you are OK with weight and size. (I think you shouldn't since you have 85OTUS)
Having another one focused at flower on hat (having more defined subject) but prefer this one (focus at edge of hat) to show off rendering which given even more blur

Another WO

Thank you, I'm sure that I will love it! No problem with weight or size, and I greatly prefer manual focus lenses. My bag is already too heavy, so what's another Otus or two?
Composition practice, tree portraits. My eyes almost got blind shooting these. No flare at all. The imgaes here are misleading but the light truth is f13~16 1/4000~1/8000
Anden, nehemiahphoto, Philipp, you guys are so kind. I appreciate. and you all are my inspiration and Anden's OTUS image is one of reason I bought this lens. And I donot regret.
I just bought back D810 after miserable experience with A7R adapting lens,(I might keep A7R 16-35 combo though for the size and weight) I know, lots of gear transition. I did a infinity test on both 135APO and my repaired OTUS, man, I never see performance like this before. not on A7R, not on DF, it resolve last detail to extreme corner at WO both. If only D810 has Leica S sensor color, I will be in haven and long time will not worry about camera anymore. Before that, S's color delicacy is untouched by any camera system I ever used so far. but pure optic level I will rate S glass I have a level below. (rendering is at least as good though)
Michael, I fully agree with you that Otus 55 is a lens without peer. Combining with D810, it shows some of its full potential. Like you, however, it still takes me a long time to post processing on Nikon DSLR to get the color that I prefer. As a result, I use the Otus far less than I really should. And I want to change that!
