Anden, your various shots are some of the first where this lens looks like something more than "just another 50."
Nice work!

Very kind Jim. Thank you.
A 50-something is always harder to get to wow due to the "normal" field of view. Mine has been glued to the camera since I got it...

Take care! download lots of samples, I recommend viewing every week before bedtime to ease out otus fever.

Well, its done... Greentoe.com just accepted my $3600 offer, plus I managed to use the recent promo for 5% cash back. BNIB Nikon mount, USA version from a reputable authorized dealer (was asked not to mention name) for $3420 shipped to my door. Feeling pretty good about the purchase!
A few taken earlier this year. Don't know why I didn't post here sooner.
ZF.2 mount on D800E. The last two were taken with ZF.2 mount (same lens) adapted to Canon 5D3.
Yes, great series. I really like the second to last image a lot too. The WB of the rose image looks way off somehow though (radioactive greens, oversaturated pinks).

Thanks guys!
The rose image was added a little split toning in LR. The original had the right WB but was quite boring. Below's before and after. I'm sure folks on this board can make it better than I did.

No, Nikon greens are wonderful, you mean Canon greens
Hmm, I've never had any real problems wih Canon's greens (maybe they tend to be slightly on the yellowish side, but nothing serious), and greens are probably in 90% of my subjects. The reds are the real problem (always oversaturated).

Personally I prefer the original colours. For myself I noticed that there is much less need to change the colours when using the Otus than with other lenses. Most of the time the colours are very good and accurate straight out of the camera. Initially I changed colours quite often in pictures made with the Otus (I suppose because that was my normal routine), but when I looked them back later I noticed that it was not an improvement and I changed it back again.
