Superb. I love the colors and the balanced sharpness. If this is the end result while you are new to blending, i wonder what you will do with a little more practice :-)

Thanks Don yes that was the major challenge. What made it easiest for me was to start on the darkest sky exposure, which left me with pretty much completely black trees, then use dark luminosity masks which selected the rest of the foreground (trees included) pretty much perfectly and allowed for the clean blend in of the brighter exposures for the foreground.
