I've been to Machias Seal Island on multiple occasions in the past 5 years for the puffins. My favorite shots are still from my very first trip in August 2008, when I had double barrels aimed at the puffins: a 300 f2.8 on a mark III and a 500 f4 on a 40D for head shots. Here's 2 shots reworked in CS5 2013. I originally posted them in 2008 edited with CS2 and limited pp skills.
Isn't it nice that our 'old' files wait for us to get better Kinda like a good wine, just waiting for the right time to surface again
My old 40D files still continue to catch my eye when I go back in time Herb, great camera in the right hands I think the 40D winds out with the 500 on this pair!
spectacular!!!! you find a mount to have both lens's on a mono/tripod at the same time? been trying to noodle one for the sideline these are really great
Herb,

Did you blow it up 20x30?
