That looks sharp for ACU camo- I wonder if they have ABU camo? My stripes are upside down .
John,
Everyone knows you can't conceal yourself well enough to get close to wildlife unless you use the "Hybrid digital tiger stripe" camo used by USAF. Why guys flying jets needed to spend tens of millions of our tax dollars designing a ridiculous camo pattern eludes me. But, I digress...

I don't look forward to black in Texas now, either . But then again, any color of Neoprene beats any color of bare steel or magnesium alloy hands down. Mostly, though, Canon's white just doesn't fly for me. I'd take off the Neoprene for paid gigs, but for amateur and candid work, I'd prefer the lens be a different color.
Black is a non-issue for heat transfer from the sun to the lens in the Pacific Northwest. The neoprene is better than a sock because it gives better shock absorbing and is not as cold on the hands in freezing weather. I would bet that the insulation factor of black neoprene would make the heat from the sun a non-issue. It doesn't seem to bother Nikon shooters using black Nikon lenses.
Many birds have much better camo than any man-made camo, yet most other birds have no problem seeing these camo'd small birds. And most of them are a lot smaller than me.

Is that their new foot model ? Also, it looks less than useful as a lens handle ?
It is just the AP-602 that I previously used on a 600. I am still eating $5 footlongs after dropping so much on the lens, so it was either spend $100 on a replacement foot or eat for 20 days.

I'm still on falafel and spinach, since getting the 1DX, last year. The 6D I had to buy in June this year didn't help at all. Not one bit.
Well, on the flip side, (pun intended) all the fabric patterns have a black back, so you can have your pattern of choice and reverse to black as well. I ordered and am trying it. Thanks Imagemaster, I hope mine turn out as well as yours.

Thanks, black works just fine for this part of the country. Anyone who thinks the camo version works any better for wildlife is kidding themselves.
Don't tell that to the RealTree company.
While I tend to agree with you, camo just looks cool.
