Is that a road on the right middle? I kinda feel like it detracts from the overall image.

Thanks so much. It's actually clouds and not fog. From down in Olympia the clouds prevented one from seeing the mountain, but once you get up high enough, it's not uncommon to then get above the cloud layer.
As for the road, it's the hiking path and I appreciate your thoughts on it.

Thanks Ben, Paradise is a really cool place for sure. It's amazing what awesome shots can be had from that area there with relative ease. And if one decides to stay at the Paradise Inn, you are just feet away from the hiking paths with a glorious view of the mountain.

It's been so long since I've been to Rainier, I've forgotten the hiking trails lower on the mountain are paved. I always thought that was so terrible looking, but I'm sure they have a good reason for it.
