This is from Paradise just before the Glacier Vista in Mt Rainier from a week ago. As the sun was setting, there was just such a nice soft light that bathed the area. This is looking off towards the Tatoosh Range. In this shot Mt Rainier was almost directly behind me.
truly stunning shot, amazing scene and comp and lighting!! wow!
(although it looks a bit over cooked for my tastes, the foreground seems a touch too bright and intense compared to the sky and lit mountain and such, it's not physically possible for those elements to have such relative brightness to each other, you can't have objects like that lit more brightly than the sources and more reflective objects getting direct source lighting, although getting over the naturalness and taking it as an abstract work of art it's pretty impressive with the glow colors)
Very nice Jim. White balance looks skewed may be a tad too far to the green side, but all in all not much to complain about here. Looks like the wildflowers really never quite materialized as it first appeared like they were threatening to do - though after the insane year the Glacier Lilies had, there may not have been much room for anything else in the ground.
Hmmm...
You have sun kissed mountains, clouds & fog , flowers, sky, bright popping colors...
Something must be missing!
Can't put my finger on it though...
