Has anyone here had any luck ordering, or even getting in touch with BushHawk? I ordered a part from them going on two weeks ago and no part, no response to my email and they don't answer their phone. Does anyone know if they are still in business?
I think they went tits-up Adorama/Amazon no longer stock 'em...shame.
FWIW they were never good at answering their phone, as far back as the 80's
Used to mail in an order thru Porters and get it before they'd ever get back to me.
Please post here if you find out they still be up and runnin' I'd like to mod a few for Fall BIF
Called and left a VM and emailed sales. No response yet. Called Cabelas who is listed as one of their retailers and they no longer carry their products. Looks like TM is right again.
Shame as I just picked up a used one but need the nikon cable. They took my order, processed my card and sent me a paid invoice but we are now out almost two weeks and nada.
Seems like a descent alternative but could they maybe have made it look LESS militaristic! Seems like that could attract unnecessary attention in certain places. Sure looks more menacing when mounted on 'The Dark Side'...wonder if it has the same appeal when mounted on Canon 'White'?
yeah, I can just imagine walking along the Mall in DC with that puppy or, in Philadelphia, I'm getting one, so I'll try it out with my Canon 7D and a white lens in Philly.
Looks like Bushhawk may still be a viable entity. Got the following email from my "are you still in business" inquiry:

We have had several issues both with our systems and with health related problems. I am back in the office today sorting out orders and messages. My sincere apologies for not returning messages and calls until now.
Please let me know what I can do for you. It will take some time to get through all the phone messages.
Email will be the fastest way for me to respond to you today. But I should be able to call tomorrow.

I must say it would seem a shame if they had gone 'tits' now . I would think this could be the time for them . Now that VDSLR'S are getting used more and more I'm seeing a whole variety of 'steadying' rigs being used . I'm sure bushawk should be able to get in on the action
Get one of the custom callers to make you one. I got the push button for mt Bogen 322 head and was hoping my pocket wizard cable would work but the non camera end was smaller so I contacted one of the custom callers I've forgot who but if need to I can research it. He made me one that works like a champ one hand on grip othe on lens ans I'm shooting away.
I got a note from Dave Hendrick a day or so ago as well. It seems he's still trying to make a go of it despite system and health issues. I'm still hoping to get mine operational . . .
I have ordered and paid for BH-320D pro kit and BHC-N2 cable on JUNE 21, 2013. The company was very accomodating until they got my cash! I have NOT RECIEVED MY PRODUCT AS OF SEPT 3. I have been told it has been shipped 3 times and should have it within 5 working days. Even given a tracking number from USPS that says a slip was printed electronically, but product has yet to be picked up.
Had enough, contacting BBB and asking for information on internet fraud against this company
I'm pretty much in the same boat. I ordered a part August 6; received a note that it was getting ready to ship and that I'd receive a tracking number on the 8/21; my cc was charged 8/26; since then they haven't responded to phone calls or emails.
Right now I wouldn't recommend anyone to send them any money for anything. There's a name for companies that take your money then never follow through with an order . . .
