p.1 #1 · FM Zoo Pics

Rather than post a number of pics from the zoo, which all of you have seen before, I will post a few and be done with it. I need to get some bird pics processed I took recently and they would probably be more interesting to see than caged animals.

I enjoyed the social aspect of this shoot more than the photographic subjects. Nothing beats meeting some FMers for a shoot and the sharing of knowledge. I strongly suggest you put one together where you live. You won't regret it.

Wonderful shots. Though #2 seems to be a bit "saturated" in places... :-)

Thanks Clayton!

I think everyone in the area would really enjoy a trip to Brazos Bend and Brazoria. I'm ready at anytime. I will probably go down there with my wife in October if we don't do something before then.

Thanks!

You need to join us Labor Day if you can. It doesn't matter if you bring a film camera. I shot with a film camera for 35 years before digital. I have only been shooting digital myself a little over a year.

It will give tou a chance to see some of the equipment and technique to help you decide what to do if you go that direction.

Thanks Pat!

I got lucky catching the "Big Cats" at the right moment.

Jim,

Great pictures of the two cats. I was not fast enough to catch them at the right time. You did very well...

It was good to meet you there.

Thanks Jim!

That one was shot through a fence with the 200 f/2.8L @f/2.8. you may want to look at that lens before you buy another 70-200.

Hey Niko!

On the front of my flash is a Lumniquest soft box. It is attached to a Wimberley flash bracket.

That Mandarin has the worst case of blue balls I've ever seen!! (And it's nothing I ever want to see again!)

Nice shots. The yawning cat looks like it was shot with a DO lens, correct? I like how the cats head seems framed by the DO artifacts. I've got a DO lens and sometimes it just does the coolest things (and other times I could throw it against the wall--luckily form my budget the former far outwiegh the latter))
