Visited my brother in Laguna Niguel last weekend. Grew up in Fullerton so I remember Dana Point when the gigantic harbor did not exist. Went to the north end of the north jetty on the second night I was there and the sunset was special. Also visited Fullerton where I grew up, played catch on the same diamond where my brother and I played little league and ate at a Mexican restaurant in nearby Placentia where my brother and I would ride our bikes to when our mom did not feel like making dinner for us. The "301 Cafe" has not changed one bit in >50 yrs. Still wonderful homemade fare. Nostalgia to the max.
Mike,
As you no doubt intended, the big rock on the left is the perfect element, and you even got a breaking wave connecting it to the massive end of the mainland rock.
Terrific color throughout the image.
About as close to perfect as an ocean-side sunset photograph can get.
Charlie.
