Great set, Birdie. I love natural hummer shots, and these really sing. No matter how many times I see Northern Cardinals (in images or in my backyard), they still are brilliantly engaging. And, how did you get so close to that jay? They are everywhere around my house but I would need a 2000 mm lens for a proper shot. TFS. ~Greg
This looks like a "nitless" post Birdie. These are all very nice. If I had a nit, it would be that you might have found a better groomed Cardinal, but I'm not gonna say that... ~ Ron
good stuff birdie! that second hummer shot is tack sharp and is really pretty. the blue jay is also fun since he has a kinda-inquisitive look on his face.
Beautiful shots each and every one Birdie. I don't have any nits or crits to offer so I'll just sit back and let my eyes enjoy the candy Very well done
Birdie,
Your hummers must have gone into the nearby mountains to escape the heat (says the westerner ).
We don't have blue jays, but we have Steller's jays- so I guess it's okay for me to say your shot of the blue jay is stellar.
You have long been a super-fine taker of photographs. And lately your processing has consistently been equally fine.
The Peanut Gallery can only say these pictures are swell.
Charlie
Gorgeous captures - hard to pick a favorite, but I would choose the last two.
Thank you very much Steve.
Excellent series...really like the Cardinals.
Much appreciated Duane, thank you.
Great assortment of captures Roberta (Birdied)...looks great here!
Edd
Thank you very much Edd!
Splendid job as always Birdie. Is the hummer plant some sort of Cuphea?
Best,
Tom
Thank you Tom, I do appreciate it. Yes, it is common name Mexican Cigar . The hummers love it and pass up all the other goodies I have planted for them.
Wonderful set, Birdie!!!!!!
Thank you so very much !
Very nice, Birdie! Beautiful clarity in these

Love these Birdie. Blue Jay is my fav too. I have never seen him so close
Thanks Shreeni! They usually move so quickly I never get a good shot. This one sat still for a few moments
Excellent set Birdie, #2 hummer is outstanding.
Paul
Thank you Paul !

Greg, much appreciated, thank you. I think the blue jay is a young one. Normally they stay so high up in the trees, swoop down, grab the seed and are gone in a flash . This one will down to a lower branch . I was so thrilled as I have been trying to get a shot for many months.

Ron, you are so nice ! The Cardinal must have had a rough night
