Some shots from the central Oregon coast from various days in various types of lighting. These are another cormie that is difficult to photograph but not quite as difficult as the Pelagic Cormorants.
In no particular order. As always all C&C is appreciated
wow - really nice tim! you've got some super positions and behaviors here. the pose in #4 is great, and i also really like the headshot in 10. these photos really show of the blue throat in a way i have never seen it before, its really pretty.
Outstanding set of this interesting subject, Tim. Thanks for sharing! Too many great ones to pick a favorite...though that last portrait is mighty fine.
Fine work capturing all the different dark tones of this beautiful bird, Tim. The blue eyes and throat really pops out.
You got some neat behavioral images and great poses.
4 and 10 are my favorites.

Terrific series, Tim, with a wonderful mix of environment, behavior, and portrait shots. I have yet to see a Brandt's anywhere, so these seem very special indeed. My favorite is the third image, which seems to have a bit of everything (aesthetic appeal, behavior, environment). It's also quite striking that the crests are so visible in most of these birds. (I guess they're part of the breeding plumage, but seem harder to see in the "real" double crested cormies). Man, that blue color is something else!

WOW! seems to be a popular and appropriate beginning, Tim
These are incredible good- and enjoyable- images, starting from the very first and running all the way to the end.
Killer harsh light? And I love it! That may explain some of the critiques I get (especially on other FM forums). I shoot a lot in the harsh light of mid-day, because I'm there .

I am seeing new species from you on every post Tim.
And what a striking bird this one is with all that vivid blue and trailing head plumes!
Great set and every one a pleasure to view
