So I posted a few shots on the Canon forum extolling the virtues of the 200-400 lens...but since this is my usual haunt I will post a large number here. Please excuse the second post today but I suspect once I start back at work tomorrow time will be at a premium. There are certainly quite a few more I haven't gotten to yet and again, these are processed on my laptop so there may be a bit more noise or artifacts that went unnoticed.
Hope you enjoy.
Wow Eric . So many encounters of this magnificent animal and too many great images to comment. I particularly like 1 and 20. Thanks for sharing these.

Jag-o-rama! Eric, these are a pleasure to view. Aside from still being in disbelief over the size of these Jags, I'm really amazed that you got so many good sightings. That's the way it should be when you work so hard, and travel so far, just for a chance. I like them all - but the close-up #20, and the mother with the sub-adult cub are my favs...#30,31,32. Great job making the most of these fleeting moments. My life has already been altered by the addiction to photographing one spotted cat, adding another might break the camels back. But...
Very nice Eric. Thanks for sharing all these shots. They're beautiful, and so are the cats. I have been in their habitat, seen their awesome, giant, footprints, but have I never seen the cats in the wild. And congratulations on your guile--in most of the shots the animals look totally unperturbed at your being only a 400 mm's reach away--means you're doing everything right.

Super stuff Eric. These all look good, and I'd be happy with any of them. 1, 10, 18, and 32 are my picks. Exif is reporting f-stops of 1.7 or 1.8...? Did the kitty in 20 have a bad eye, and did you work on it?
10, 14, 20, 22, 25, 26 are my picks. There are lots of nice photos that many would be thrilled to have captured in this set. The picks are up to your usual wonderful quality.
Wow Eric, these are just stunning. It's rare to capture such elusive animals in the wild. Can you share any details on your trip. Were you on an organized photo safari or was this self planned? This is one trip I would love to do.
Wonderful to see so many images of this fabulous animal. All are very good but 8, 11, 14, 30 and 32 are my picks. The shots of the two cats together are simply superb!
Too, too many choices for favorites. Suffice it to say, these are AWESOME!!! I'll bet you still have a smile on your face. What a fantastic trip you must have had and what memories .
