So, is this a Canadian citizen in the US? I'd sure be intrigued to know what his reaction would be to CBP showing up at his front door

Get in touch with the police. Send this guy to jail. Open up a file for him so that a cell will await him...

Here I go again representing the defendant:

Jail, Police, Knocking on door, and kicking in doors. Hey lets just get Seal Team 6 on the kid that is probably still a minor. What he doing will not necessary be fraud because PayPal cover buyers that have been swindled. The only people who can make a police report is PayPal because they are the ones who is getting scammed and have to take money out of their banking account to cover the losses.

You can't say for sure that all of the victims will be made whole. At least one person in this thread indicated that he sent money via wire transfer. In that case, there is no Paypal protection. Even for those who used Paypal, recouping lost monies is not always a guaranteed outcome (some used "gift" payment- usual buyer protection does not apply.)

There are also a couple of other misconceptions in your post, such as believing that fraudulent behavior must result in a loss in order to be punishable. Ever heard of intent to defraud? If you are, as you say, "representing the defendant", then he might want to ask for new counsel.

Directing this to all victims: It looks like majority of the buyers paid via PayPal. Sense only user Triet believes he is the only one that paid via wire. Getting a criminal report to be successful if paid via PayPal will be unlikely to happened unless funds were sent as gifted. Now for the wire transfer the process will take time and can take months. You can get the wire transfer reversed but you will have to have a lawyer and "DanAnda" will have to show up in court. But it seems like you will have a hard time locating him sense you all are not sure if where he say he lives is true or a rental property that is still up for rent. So basically you will have to work with "DanAnda" to get the funds back or you will not have any luck getting back the funds you sent him (Triet).

I see and feel alot of anger and that will not change anything or make the situation better and resolved, So release the wrath especially for the victims who paid via PayPal. Work with the seller or just don't even view this thread anymore. Mitesh are you even a victim?

The answer is no, and it is not relevant to the discussion. My post was directed at pointing out some fallacies in your post(s). And before you ride too far on that high horse of yours, check some of the recent posts and you'll see that some of the victims are making efforts to work this out with the scammer. A few have seen progress, but one even got a fake tracking number and another got a nasty communication. Obviously the victims are doing their part and I think they're entitled to blow off some steam and discuss the situation on this forum.

Just wanted to update here I kept texting him and pushing for a refund. I did finally get it! I talked with PayPal and they said he had marked the items as not shipped and oked the refund the reversal has cleared my account for the full amount I paid him. I wish everyone else involved in this the best of luck and I hope you all get your money back.

Congrats, and hope other victims get the same news from PayPal.

Ok so I got his money transfered to my account, its to bad no one else got their items but I did. What am I supposed to do? Just keep his cash and say screw him? That makes me no better than him. All the information I have posted is all that I'm going to give anyone. Please stop PMing me (unless your a single girl who likes chubby dudes!!)

Why not contact PayPal and ask them

If the yahoo is legit, then they will credit his account

If he isn't, then they will recover some of the funds they need to cover the other no sales

So if PayPal cover the funds then he will walk away with a free item. I think it will be impossible for TeddytheFinger to just hand PayPal the funds for "DanAnda" problems. Teddy needs to give DanAnda the funds so DanAnda can give the funds to PayPal himself through his account that is linked with PayPal that is negative. But what is the point for all of that sense PayPal will cover the losses. That will just be helping DanAnda PayPal account for another scam if he scammed on purpose. DanAnda needs to give Triet the funds the most sense he is the buyer that needs the most attention right now. PayPal can't cover his funds. DanAnda needs to take Triet serious the most.

Dmorrison, stop standing up for the kid. Maybe some of the people on this forum are being a little brutal, but he did take several thousand dollars over multiple accounts from people. You just keep sounding more and more like Ryan. Bad spelling and grammar, and you want the money sent back to "DanAnda" ( you can't even say his real name ).

You say you've been a member of POTN "for years." Pics or it didn't happen.

Ok so I seem to be the only one who got what they ordered from this guy...I got my 24L pretty darn quick. Whats odd though is that he refunded me 300$ and wanted it wired to him....so I've got it transfering to my account so I can wire it......this all seems to weird to me!!! If you guys need anymore info hit me up...

I'd hold onto the fund and see if anyone didn't get their money back and send it to them. They need to prove it. I wouldn't send it back to a scammer who was trying to use you to take money out of his pp. There was at least one person that wired him money and I doubt he would be willing to send that guy his money.

Sound of anger. Report me and lets see if the site owner will suspend me if you think I am Ryan. You getting angry what is that going to solve? The kid did ship out the merchandise to the person who has the $300 now am I wrong?
Teddy keeping the money and "DanAnda" with nothing will make Teddy the same, even he explained that. And I am not taking up for anyone. A transaction is a transaction and each individual has their own transaction with him.

Teddy did not share a transaction with the other buyers I believe so that has nothing to do with him. What you are saying will be more of a personal decision for the other victims own good.

That's what I'm saying. Why give scammer money that he stole from someone else? The money he refunded so far, he didn't do it out of his kind heart. He's doing it because he have no choice. PP frozen his acct and he was never going to get those funds until all open cases are close. That's the only reason he has given some people their money back.

The story he gave is quite legit, I will just point that out. We have several paypal accounts, and the new ones, once they receive large amounts, will get placed on temporary hold until Paypal verifies the account and owner are valid. Flags are raised, plus there is a timed hold on funds if certain conditions are met on the account.

If this happened, and then claims were placed, then the account will be locked until paypal can dig through the issues. This effectively ties the account owner's hands from doing anything with the money until Paypal puts the disputes into a state where the owner can either show proof of shipping or they refund the money.

Keep in mind much of this is very automated in Paypal's system, they don't have an army of folks man-handling all of this every single new account, and every single dispute that is opened. Disputes are automated too if you open one online, and once events are satisfied, either the dispute is closed, or it escalates to a Paypal exception cockpit for somebody to manage. So as certain automated disputes "age" in their system, or as people call paypal, the disputes get to a state where Ryan can refund the money.

Again, this doesn't sound like the typical scam. Ryan does sound like an immature brat and isn't helping his case any, but still many events from the beginning to now, coupled with past feedback, doesn't make me look at this like a typical scam.

However, it doesn't matter if intent to scam is or isn't there, if people aren't getting their money back or any equipment, it is effectively a "scam" from their vantage point.
