I'll believe it when i get my lens... Too many questionable things about this kid. It was supposedly sent out by media mail usps... I'm in Jersey so from SC should take a week or a few more days to receive it provided it was really shipped out.
Well I would either call or get my lawyer to call his parents & discuss the matter, no doubt they have no idea & will fix the situation without too much hassle.

so maybe this is getting out of control? I'm thinking maybe...heres another email:
I asked why was he having a problem refunding ya'lls monies when I got mine just fine?
Yes because I had proof of delivery and transferred the funds right after delivery that is why used priority. Everyone is making it seem like I am a monster in that thread. I am nothing close. When PayPal put the funds on hold I could not refund the buyers because the funds are already on my PP account and now they will have to wait until PP makes a decision which the funds will fall back in the hands of the buyers that did not get what they ordered. Now if I would of transferred their funds to my bank account then I would of saw the option to refund.
I transferred the other $300 of what you paid me to my checking account and the other $300 and something was still in my account but PP limited my account and I had no claims or disputes at that time so I refunded you the money for you to send to my checking because I would hate to wait 180 days. Even if I did it would be too late sense I would have a negative and have already refunded. Don't mind you sharing this email message with the board and hope you understand.
I don't know what's going on with this, but I was originally giving him the benefit of the doubt because of the tracking info received; however, after coming upon this thread and him bring unresponsive, it didn't feel right. His email above didn't even say anything about whether or not the items were shipped at all. So if PP didn't put a hold on his account, he would've refunded us all? Why refund if the items were shipped. It all sounds really fishy to me.

Totally agree with you on this one. Although why choose media mail for an expensive item is beyond me.

There are still carriers that never scan. So his info is dead on correct.
I don't know about you but everything I ship has the acceptance scan updated on the website within 2 days of dropping it off at the postal office. If the item was not dropped off then fine I understand but for the simple fact that he told me it was dropped off and should receive it no later than Thursday and then leaving me with another tracking number that is invalid is justifiable for me to believe I was scammed out of $2K.
He can refund the money. I've spoken directly to a PayPal Claims rep and he told me that they can release the funds back to us if they get authorization from him via the website or on the phone.

Media Mail is not sealed against postal inspection. Regardless of physical closure, the mailing of articles at Media Mail prices constitutes consent by the mailer to postal inspection.
Media mail is used for certain types of books, films, manuscripts, printed music, printed test materials, sound recordings, play scripts, printed educational charts, loose-leaf pages and their binders consisting of medical information, video recordings, educational reference charts, and computer-readable media."
I doubt the person even mailed it with the restrictions/requirements of media mail.
I was introduced to this forum and post on POTN when someone made a post about the guy.

And yet he was taunting the crap out of Pubtime? Cmon Teddy, if you send that money even I'll laugh at you. I have forwarded the info I got on him to Pubtime, which he can do what he wants.
Just by looking at DanAnda feedback it looks like he shipped out what Teddy purchased so why laugh at him? Wouldn't that make Teddy a scammer as well if he decide too keep the money? If I was you Teddy I would try my best to remove myself out of this situation and sending him his money would do so and keeping the money will stir conflict and put you deep in the situation as a scammer too.

Why use media mail when shipping out a expensive lens. Did you let him know?

If you think he is a scammer, you should not accept his USPS packages. It's very easy for you to claim your money back from Paypal.

"What are the pros of keeping money in Paypal?"
I have their debit card. I mainly use at restaurants and get an immediate receipt sent to my iPhone. The money on a credit card is not yours. Think you can pay it off within a month? Sounds good, few actually do. Bring on the interest and fees. There is also a new Paypal card without your name or numbers on it. For now it can be used on-site at at selected companies, and expanding daily.
"Thousands of dollars in my bank earns me interest, does Paypal do that for you?"
1% cash back on purchases. Most banks interest rate is half that.
"Using my credit gets extra protection, why not?"
No doubt. PayPal offers protection too. "Extra" is just an empty word corporate thought up.
"Using my credit card increase my reward points and money, does Paypal do that for you?"
Yes, 1%.
"Using my credit card offers extra warranty of certain things, does Paypal do that?"
"extra warranty on certain things". Well, Paypal offers peace of mind on specific things. ...Show more →
You are reaching, dude. I have extended warranty from using my credit card, and I have benefited from that already.
I get 1-3 % from my credit card depending on the type of purchase...plus interest in my bank.
No, extra is not a corporate word, stop making things up to justify your position. I speak what is true to my experience, if you don't agree with that, look in the mirror and argue with yourself.
Yes, I do pay off my credit card each month because it makes sense to do so.
And Dmorrison who are you?? You joined a forum just to help a scammer get back his 300 bucks?? I wouldn't be surprised if your the dood that scammed us all.

Why not help? I don't know if hes a scammer or not and I am not going to judge anyone. But why would he keep his money if he got his item? Someone has to be the bigger and better person. It does not make sense if he keeps his money because a buyer that got scammed did not get what they wanted. I am on no one side but look at the situation a better way.
Anyone considered a collection agency? They send around a debt collector, all nice and legal. If Ryan (is it actually is him) is legit he will be able to prove it. If Police are called - all the better.
Anyone who goes around there to try and intimidate him will put themselves in a position where they can be criticised.
No I am not him, admin can verify I am in Australia via IP check. Just thinking of how to do this so no one gets into trouble and money is returned or goods delivered.

Yeah for some reason I highly doubt this. If anyone needs help first it's the people that got scammed. That 300 would be better used divided up and sent to the people that got scammed rather than the scammer himself.
Bigger and better person?? How so? Give the scammer back his money that goes to show him that there isn't any punishment in doing wrong to others so that he can continue doing what he's doing?
I still think your the scammer or a friend of his.
dmorrison wrote:
I don't even know the guy. And if the payment was via PayPal than you are covered right?
I have no idea yet. I'll see when the funds are back in my account and others.
But really, why are you taking your time to help the scammer and not the victims? Whatever man, either way, say what you want, I don't believe a word of it.
