As an FYI for anyone looking at buying this version of this lens Robert's Camera has been selling some on fleabay for $2250 OBO.

Chris, they were all available light on a couple of them I had an assitant hold an
sb900 with a small light modifier, controlled by an su800.

Michael that is encouraging! Great shots my friend. I am waiting to see the reports on the new lens. I took one of the old non-os models to Africa in 2010 and was well pleased. Static, shots mainly, big animals. With the 1.4 TC it was a poor mans 200-400. I love the idea of the zoom range. Thanks for sharing.
