p.4 #2 · Sad news - 'Yakim Peled' a dear FM member has died
Shocking news, Can't believe a forum regular whom was just participating in a thread a couple of days ago is gone, and in this matter of passing with seemingly no signs. I mean not that you can ever really know anyone just via a message board I guess, but certainly didn't seem to be any signs I could of picked up on. Makes you wish and wonder if there is something we could of caught onto and offered help or support.....

Having lost a person very close me by to the same cause, I know that there's often not much you can say...
I hope his family will remember him for all the good things, maybe part of the person he was around here. I hope the children's mother, grandparents on both sides - and other family - can give each other support through the hardships now.
It is a decision not taken lightly, and it's hard to understand - or even try to understand. I've done quite a lot of research in suicide prevention for personal reasons, and there you understand that even the best in the field often fail to understand or predict the actions persons still on the edge of decision.
Since I'm not religious, I can only wish him the very best as far as my conscience allows me - peace, and relief of the pains that ailed him. My heartfelt condolences to the family, even if they may never read this.

I can't believe this. I also feel sick. Even though I've never conversed with him directly this has really upset me. I will always remember his happy shooting sign off which made me smile. Such a shame...

I will remember Yakim's posts for being short and to the point and he was one of the must read posters. His passing is such a great shame. I really feel for him and the state that pushed him to this. My heart felt condolences to his family. Such a sad loss.

While reading through the Hebrew forum (translated) the circumstances that led up to this are revealed. So, so sad. He had lost his job and then he was selling off all his gear due to his financial situation. Knowing this certainly doesn't make it any easier to accept the loss.
Yet another victim of "the world we live in"... I wish I could have helped.
