Dang. What a loss. He was such a great member of this community.
It seems in some way trivial to miss his presence here, but I have to say if he was as positive an influence to his physical community as he was in this virtual one then what a tremendous loss indeed.
Condolences and best wishes to all his family and friends. I can't really fathom their loss given how distressing it is to me as a very casual acquaintance.

I don't post often but am lurking on here most days and did enjoy his posts and especially find of his signature sign off of "happy shooting"
I didn't know him but am deeply saddened by the loss of a very active, helpful and extremely likeable member.
I know it's not my place but maybe a "happy shooting" sticky so members can share there memories.
The world, especially the photography world will be a poorer place due to his loss.
RIP and condolences to his family and friends.

This is as sad as it gets.
I don't know what else to say, my thought goes out to his family.
I am not that active these days but Yakim was one of those nice guys that had been around for quite some time and I always enjoyed his presence here. Always polite and he must have been really hurting to chose to depart from this life.

I've enjoyed so many of his posts, and when he would sign off with "happy shooting". I am saddened, speechless and left with many questions (though I only knew him through the internet). What a loss.

Had some differences with Yakim, but he was clearly a nice person and I'm truly saddened to hear about his decision. I hope that he and his family can find peace, best wishes to them.

So sad. If somebody had asked me to describe him, I'd say he was a positive and encouraging person. I always looked forward to hearing his views. He must have found a lot of joy in photography and in this great community.

What a bummer! I bought several lenses from him a few years back. Very kind person with lots of integrity! And will always remember him with " happy shooting!"...

That is such terrible, shocking sad news. I am so sorry for what he must have been going through towards the end, and now for his family and friends. I think it is one of the hardest things to have to deal with. My sincere condolences.
