p.26 #5 · Sad news - 'Yakim Peled' a dear FM member has died
Oh no! I have followed his posts for at least the last 10 years here and on photo.net before that. He was a good man. This is sad news indeed. Happy shooting, Yakim!

Oh no... shocked and sad to read about this. FM is one of the few forums I follow more or less regularly, and Yakim always came through as a true gentleman, exhibiting a very high level of expertise and politeness, common to most of the contributing members on here but very unusual in the grand scope of the internet.
I will remember his tagline "happy shooting", which served as a good reminder to above all enjoy photography.
I wish the family and everyone close to Yakim strength and hope in these trying times.
p.26 #13 · Sad news - 'Yakim Peled' a dear FM member has died
i've read this thread and have not yet written my own words, probably because this just leaves me speechless with no words to do justice to Yakim.
I hadn't realised that Yakin worked in Cellular networks, I work in that field too and i've seen how ruthless it has become with numerous out-sourcing and off-shoring programs. It reminds me especailly those us us with mortgages and families of how small a margin it's is between being financially secure with a good job and being without a job and struggling to keep our homes and families safe.
