Finally cracked and got one.

Was great for family shots this weekend, this one was in the evening light as we walked through the park on the way home last night:

Very happy with the sharpness and so far the bokeh hasn't been ugly. Seriously considering selling my Contax 35 1.4, but will maybe do some comparison tests first if I can be bothered.

Aye, shot at 1.6 just to be safe (focus) and is nice and sharp at 100%.

Living in London might make for some boring test shots as I don't want to get mugged trying fancy lenses on a tripod somewhere. Have a roof terrace I might take some test shots from but they won't be anything interesting

I rented one for a week and was very impressed... Sharp, even wide open and no focussing issues. A bit bigger than I'd prefer though. A few shots:

I would have to agree, it is definitely smoother than the Canon.

My ZE 35 1.4 is slightly better than my Siggy but not by much.
